our famous white pizza is what put us on the map, originated by shirley decheco 1993. our signature white sauce, fresh tomatoes, banana peppers, black olives and local basil is a combination to die for.
from cutting hair to cutting crusts, it all started with jack and shirley decheco.
the unlikely duo never imagined they would do anything else but style hair… until Shirley broke her ankle. curious of another business venture they could take on, Jack told his wife that they should open up a pizzeria. Shirley agreed it would be fun to whip up some new recipes! she bought a mixer and the dough started flying. it was literally flying throughout the decheco home kitchen. as fate would have it, shirley prevailed and the experiment became the widely recognized decheco’s pizzeria. the torch is now in the hands of their son, nathan decheco. with a full renovation to keep up with demand and receiving the recognition of akron's best pizza, nathan worked diligently & carefully to expand the brand to better serve the greater akron area.
nathan's dream is now a reality.

we usually get the famous white pizza. this time I wanted something new to try.i ordered the pop-eye pizza, i’m vegetarian, and asked for half of it without the chicken, and the accommodated me. with no problem. :) my husband ordered the 3 pc. tender dinner and loved it. we will be trying more new items soon. everything was delicious.
